570GT Adds to Three-Tier Geneva Display

In a prolonged effort to emphasize the accessibility of the new McLaren Sports Series, the Woking team has added the 570GT to the lineup as a versatile hatch.

The GT is a modified version of the 570S in that it offers extra cargo space behind the seats, easily accessed for loading and unloading via a side-hinged window. The space measures 7.8 cubic feet and is fully trimmed in leather, and comes alongside other standard features such as the soft close doors, Bower & Wilkins stereo system – both optional on the 570S – and a panoramic sunroof which is new to the GT.

The addition of these new features also comes with the addition of weight, thereby marginally affecting performance from the same drivetrain as the 570S. The GT will still cover 0-60 in just 3.4 seconds and eventually reach the same top speed as the 570S of 204 miles per hour.

The 570GT will see its official unveil at the Geneva Motor Show on March 1 and will start at $198,950.
